Researchers from the University of Canberra are working with the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation (MJP), an organisation founded by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, to trial a cost effective text-messaging system with Cambodian farmers.

Agricultural research is entering into a new era of renewed commitment and heightened awareness of the benefits it can deliver for poverty reduction and economic development. The Change Management Initiative of 2008 set a new course for the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) that will help it to do more and do it better. The CGIAR is producing a newsletter, Embracing Change, to provide updates on the process. The latest edition is June 2009.
