ACIAR commissions research through projects that link Australian expertise, and multilateral research expertise, with research organisations in partner countries. 

Projects commence when all legal agreements have been signed and all project development processes completed. The links below are to the project details, including the lead organisation and collaborators, related projects (where relevant) and budget and expected duration.

Projects commissioned during the last three months

Agreements covering ACIAR projects may be varied to extend the time to completion, to increase the budget available, or both. Extensions are based on reviews of a project, utilising both external and internal experts. Project summaries show the new project duration, and current budget.
