Mr Barry Buffier is the Director General of the NSW Department of State and Regional Development and the former Director General of the NSW Department of Primary Industries. He has served on the boards of many bodies including the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation, NSW Rural Assistance Authority, National Rural Advisory Committee, and as Chairman of the NSW Poultry Meat Industry Committee.
In addition, he was a Non Executive Director of the Ricegrowers’ Cooperative Limited. He has previously held senior executive appointments in both the private and public sector as Deputy Director General, NSW Agriculture and National Manager Agribusiness, Westpac Banking Corporation.
