Mr David Crombie

Commissioner

Mr David Crombie was elected President of the National Farmers’ Federation at the NFF Annual Policy Council Meeting in Canberra in June 2006 and continues in that position. He brings over 30 years commercial and representational experience in agriculture to his role as President.

Mr Crombie was a founding partner in GRM which owned and managed agricultural and livestock development projects across Northern Australia and overseas. Mr Crombie retired as Managing Director in 2000 and remains on the Board. In 1995 he joined the Board of Grainco Australia and subsequently the Boards of Meat Industry Council and Meat and Livestock Australia where he served as Chairman from 1998 to 2005. Currently, Mr Crombie is the Chairman, Australian Rural Leadership Foundation; Director, Export Finance Insurance Corporation; Director, GRM and Rosewood (NT beef); Deputy Chairman, FKP (listed development company); and President, Queensland Rugby Union. Mr Crombie operates family properties, breeding cattle and farming in southern Queensland.
