ACIAR currently has a vacancy for a Country Manager in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands [1].
It is in your interest to include a statement addressing the selection criteria with your application for positions at ACIAR. Selection criteria are standards that measure a candidate's abilities, skills and knowledge and are generally contained within the duty statement or job description. Both the selection criteria and duty statement outline the minimum requirements necessary to do a job and are collectively called the selection documentation. These documents can be downloaded from this site along with other information to guide you in developing your application. If your application does not address the selection criteria you may not get an interview, as this is the basis for short listing applicants.
APS and ACIAR’s Collective Agreement conditions of employment apply.
Collective Agreement 2008-2011 [2]
It is ACIAR’s policy to engage successful applicants at the bottom of the salary range unless the candidate can substantiate a case for an above-base salary to be offered. Discussion of commencing salary must be done at the time of interview.
ACIAR has a temporary employment register for administrative/secretarial positions. There are very few short-term opportunities for professional/technical positions.
