ACIAR's operations are organised through Programs, these being grouped into two Program Areas:

The Multilateral Program [14] facilitates ACIAR's investment, on behalf of the Australian Government, in the International Agricultural Research Centres. Funding is divided between core funding and specific projects, administered through the Research and Development Programs.
