China has vast areas of arid and semi-arid pastoral land in its northern provinces. The economy of the region depends heavily on sheep grown for wool and meat. Poor mineral nutrition is a significant factor in limiting production. This publication is one of two resulting from an international workshop on mineral nutrition of grazing sheep held in Beijing in September 1995
