Impact assessments of forty-nine Thailand/Australia collaborative projects funded by ACIAR during 1983-1995

Summary

There is strong evidence that agricultural research is an important source of growth in agriculture, resulting in economic and environmental benefits. Given the limited funds available for research and development in agriculture, assessment of the impact of ACIAR-funded research is undertaken with a view to enhancing ACIAR performance against desired outcomes. As part of this process, impact assessments of selected completed ACIAR projects are undertaken by economists independent of ACIAR.
