Agreements covering ACIAR projects may be varied to extend the time to completion, to increase the budget available, or both. Extensions follow reviews of the project. Project summaries show the new project duration, and current budget.

The Crop Improvement and Management project CIM/2003/014 Seeds of Life 2 [1] has been granted a budget increase of $2,289,396, to reflect changes to the services.

The Fisheries project FIS/2002/001 Developing aquaculture in degraded inland areas in India and Australia [2] has been granted a budget increase of $118,658 and a new completion date of 30 November 2009, to reflect changes to the services.

The Fisheries project FIS/2005/009 Technical capacity building and research support for the reconstruction of tsunami-affected, brackishwater aquaculture ponds in Aceh [3] has been granted a budget increase of $109,218 and a new completion date of 30 June 2009, to reflect changes to the services.

The Horticulture project HORT/2003/045 Improvement of vegetable production and postharvest management systems in Cambodia and Australia [4] has been granted a budget increase of $81,193 and a new completion date of 30 June 2009, to reflect changes to the services.

The Soil Management and Crop Nutrition project SMCN/2003/006 Enhancing agricultural production in the Philippines by sustainable use of shallow groundwater [5] has been granted a budget increase of $50,000 and a new completion date of 30 June 2009, to reflect changes to the services.
