The Crop Protection program has three main emphases: a systems approach to improving pre-harvest crop productivity including integrated pest management of pests and diseases; postharvest handling and disinfestation treatments; and biosecurity issues including diagnostics, pest/disease surveys and surveillance and assessment of the quarantine risk of specific horticultural crop.
