Project Background and Objectives

This small project is designed to map out the scope and nature of autonomous and quasi-autonomous farmer organisations in two main rice growing areas of Vietnam (Red River and Mekong Deltas). One of the objectives of the project is to develop, for AClAR's consideration, a phase 2 project proposal whose objective will be to primarily assess the effectiveness of different types of farmer organisations in the two main rice producing areas, Red River and Mekong Deltas and identify areas of further research.
