Summary

This publication summarises ACIAR's Fisheries projects, with 25 active and one recently concluded project included. The Fisheries program initiates projects that help in the responsible management of wild capture fisheries,and sustainable aquaculture systems and mariculture. Fisheries research is vital to ensuring the long-term sustainability of wild capture fisheries,many of which are under increasing pressure, and to help boost production through aquaculture.
