Project development assessment: Pacific Island pearl oyster resources development (project 9131)

Summary

The ACIAR Fisheries Program is considering a project proposal aimed at investigating the development of the pearl oyster resources in the South Pacific. The collaborating institutions in Australia developing the proposal are James Cook University (JCU); Queensland Department of Primary Industry (QDPI/OVL); Queensland University of Technology (QUT); and in the South Pacific, the Ministry of Marine Resources, Cook Islands; Ministry of Natural Resources Development, Kiribati and the South Pacific Commission (SPC), Noumea.
