Human-induced soil erosion and consequent degradation of agricultural land in the Philippines upland is recognised as a major environmental and socioeconomic problem. ACIAR supported a project to improve the flow of appropriate soil conservation technologies to upland farmers. The project adopted a farming systems framework for technology assessment. This monograph summarises the findings of the project and reports on the case studies of upland development projects.
