Summary

This manual contains a comprehensive account of the draught animal systems in representative areas of Indonesia, whose characteristics simulate many other parts of Southeast Asia. It is intended as a guide for field advisors involved in the development of improved draught animal systems in Indonesia and elsewhere. It is the first attempt to bring results from draught animal research into practical implementation in this country.
