Summary

From 1984 to 1993 ACIAR funded a project in which Kenyan and Australian scientists sought ways to address the many problems encountered by farmers living in Kenya's semi-arid rural areas. Over time production from their farms has fallen and continues to fall, with many farmers sliding into poverty as their land becomes less fertile. This booklet contains ideas that may at last help these farmers to slow or even stop the fall in food production. The ideas should also assist farmers in other semi-arid parts of Africa. OUT OF STOCK
