Foot-and-Mouth Disease in Southeast Asia

Summary

Australia and Thailand have collaborated for six years to study foot-and-mouth disease (FMD), a disease which is endemic in Asia. These proceedings present an overview of the current FMD situation in Asia and also highlight appropriate control and eradication strategies. The book sections include and overview of global FMD status, epidemiology of FMD in Thailand, control of FMD in Southeast Asia, diagnosis of FMD, information systems in disease control strategies, and status reports from 11 Asian countries.
