Building provincial capacity for sustainable agricultural mechanisation in Nepal - Final report

This project aimed to utilise roadmapping techniques to create enabling environments that facilitate the uptake of Conservation Agriculture based Sustainable Intensification (CASI) practices to improve the livelihoods of farming communities in the Eastern Gangetic Plains (EGP). View project page.

The implications of sustainable intensification on weed dynamics in the Eastern Gangetic Plains - Final report

This project aimed to improve understanding on the response of men and women farmers to changing weed dynamics due to Conservation Agriculture-based Sustainable Intensification (CASI) adoption in the Eastern Gangetic Plains (EGP) of South Asia. View project page.

Farm mechanisation and conservation agriculture for sustainable intensification - final report

This project aimed to accelerate delivery of two-wheel tractor-based technologies to smallholder farmers in Eastern and Southern Africa, and help them adopt the technology. This improved access to mechanization, reduced labour drudgery, and minimised biomass trade-offs. Sub-Saharan Africa needs sustainable intensification of agriculture. Research for development work is increasing the efficiency with which land, water and nutrients are being used, but farm power appears to be a forgotten resource.

Building provincial capacity for sustainable agricultural mechanisation in Nepal

This project aimed to utilise roadmapping techniques to create enabling environments that facilitate the uptake of Conservation Agriculture based Sustainable Intensification (CASI) practices to improve the livelihoods of farming communities in the Eastern Gangetic Plains (EGP). Roadmapping is a flexible planning technique to support strategic planning and programming. This process will be developed and applied to two newly formed provinces in Nepal, where the project has been working since 2012.
