Overview

Essential oils - those oils usually obtained from leaves, fruit, bark or wood through steam distillation - are used as flavours or fragrances, and for medicinal or healthcare purposes. This book is the outcome of a study of the Asteromyrtus, Callistemon and Melaleuca group, to determine which species contained new or interesting oils that might have commerical potential, in the hope of increasing options available to would-be essential oil producers in tropical environments.
