Foundation science and technologies to transform Indo-Pacific tuna assessment and management under climate change - Final Report

This project, in partnership with SPC and other regional collaborators, aimed to complete foundational research to underpin the transfer and application of new genetic methods for fisheries monitoring and management to tropical tuna stocks.

Key outcomes included:

• the development of an epigenetic age model for yellowfin and bigeye tuna
• high-resolution genome sequencing, and 
• assessments of tissue collection protocols and molecular infrastructure in the region.
