Overview

Tick-borne diseases constrain cattle production in Asia, Africa and Australia. The diseases theileriosis, babesiosis, anaplasmosis and heartwater can cause mortality, along with reduced milk and meat production. The estimation of tick-borne disease costs will help researchers and policy-makers set research priorities and identify potential economic benefits of animal-health.
