An evaluation of the ACIAR Agriculture Sector Linkages Program

As a learning organisation, ACIAR is committed to understanding the diverse outcomes delivered by the research collaborations we develop, to demonstrate the value of investment of public funds, to continuously improve research design and to increase the likelihood that ACIAR- funded research improves the lives of farming communities in our partner countries.

Lao blueprint to transform research into policy

ACIAR will soon have a blueprint to help facilitate the results from agricultural research being used to help inform policy in Lao PDR. Developed through ACIAR-supported research led by the Australian National University (ANU), the blueprint stems from a 2-year investigation looking at why some research projects were successful at informing policy and why some were not.   It was found that evidence-based policies are more likely to meet intended goals and have a more significant impact.

Digital AgTech in Indonesia's transforming smallholder agriculture sector: potentials and policy options

This project aimed to provide key Indonesian government agencies with a high-level ‘roadmap’ of initiatives and policies they could implement to maximise impact of digital agtech in agricultural value chains, with a clear view of what to do, who to target or engage, and how to do so with highest likelihood of success.

Strengthening regional mechanisms to maximise benefits to smallholder shrimp farmer groups adopting better management practices - Final report

Contributing to Indonesia's sustainable agricultural research strategy - Final report

This project aimed to identify how to best support sustainable agriculture policy and program research initiatives for the Medium-Term National Development Plan 2015-2019. The key output was a project proposal outlining how ACIAR can contribute to the ‘sustainable agriculture’ research agenda of Indonesia, and the main outputs provide the basis for future work derived from technical workshops, the Policy Roundtable and the background/concept papers.
