To mark 40 years of operation, a small selection of partnerships, projects and people have been profiled to convey the impact of ACIAR across regions, countries and different fields of research.

Introduction

Goats standing in a field looking towards the camera. One goat is young, and the other is older and has horns.

Farmer benefits

Women with had in crop field

Establishment

A black-and-white group photo of about 30 men and women in business attire. There are about three rows of people: the back row is standing, the centre row is sitting in chairs and the front row is sitting on the floor.

Partnerships

A group of five men standing in the middle of a crop. The crop of plants is waist to shoulder height on the men. Two men are wearing cotton sun hats.

Projects

A woman wearing an orange shirt is standing between two men. One of the men is holding some seedlings in his hand. They are smiling and talking.

People

A group photo of around 30 men and women standing in front of an office building

Benefits to Australia

A harvester driving in a straight line in a field. The harvester is harvesting the grain and transferring grain, via an auger, to a field bin being towed by a tractor, which is travelling beside the harvester.

Building resilience

Group of people standing in front of trees

40 years of impact

A group of men and women kneeling next to a garden bed with lush green produce growing in it. Some of them are pulling the produce out of the ground. They are all brightly dressed and smiling.
