Graduates in PNG - Celebrating success
Seventeen graduates from the ACIAR-funded research capacity building project for fisheries staff in PNG celebrated their success on 20 February in Port Moresby.
The graduates were awarded their testamurs for a Graduate Certificate in Research from the University of Tasmania.
The training program led by Professor Janelle Alison enabled fisheries officers to gain critical research skills.
Mr Bruce Davis (High Commissioner), Professor Brigid Heywood, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research), John Kasu (Managing Director of NFA) and Dr Chris Barlow (ACIAR Fisheries Program) congratulated the graduates.
Associate Professor Jes Sammut (UNSW) gave the Occasional Address.
