Overview
These proceedings stem from aconference held in Singapore in February 1989. Delegates assessed the current status of gas application techniques for pest and quality control in stored grain and related products around the world, and also examined the advantages and potential of emerging fumigation and controlled atmosphere (CA) technologies, particularly in the Asian region. The 20 papers cover six topic areas background to current use of fumigation-CA technology, biologal responses to treatment with gases, physical processes in fumigation and CA storage, application methodology, sealed storage of bag stacks, and issues related to the application of fumigation-CA.
