Overview

Vietnam is striving to increase its agricultural production, but gains in productivity are offset by large postharvest losses. These proceedings arose from a workshop held in Vietnam, where options for improvement in postharvest handling and storage were explored by a large gathering of postharvest experts from Vietnam, Australia and nine other countries. Issues discussed include grain drying, quality maintenance in fruits and vegetables, and handling of livestock, livestock products and seafood.
