Goodbye ACIAR House

11 August 2025
A building with a driveway and a parking lot
ACIAR House as it was in December 1996.

After almost 30 years, ACIAR has moved to a new building.

Since December 1996, ACIAR has been fortunate to work from a purpose-built space in the north of Canberra. Opened by then-Foreign Minister Alexander Downer, this space has facilitated our work supporting research for development across the Indo-Pacific and beyond.

However, with the lease on the premises ending, ACIAR is excited to move closer to Australia’s Parliamentary Triangle. This move brings us physically closer to our sister agency, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as other important Government partners in the area. It will facilitate our work well into the future.

Our new location

From 11 August 2025, ACIAR will be located at 38 Sydney Avenue, Forrest, ACT 2603.

All other contact details remain the same.
