Overview
ACIAR-funded researchers have more than 20 years of experience undertaking research on diverse agricultural subjects in Laos. This outcome evaluation was commissioned to understand the contribution to positive outcomes arising from ACIAR-supported projects focused on fish passages, forest plantations and groundwater irrigation.
The evaluation confirmed that the ACIAR-funded research contributed to a range of significant medium-term policy and development outcomes. The evaluation also highlighted that a strong focus on partnerships and the needs of in-country partners in project design and conduct meant outcomes were closely aligned with partner needs and ensured a high level of ongoing engagement from in-country partners.
