Overview
The project has made significant strides in developing and validating monitoring techniques for fish pass facilities in the Lower Mekong Basin.
These techniques have improved the assessment of the Xayaburi fish pass and provided valuable insights for future installations, such as the one at Luang Prabang.
With 3 techniques already peer-reviewed and others in the pipeline, the project capitalises on previous ACIAR fish passage initiatives, focusing on large hydropower contexts.
The outcomes have attracted considerable interest from stakeholders, prompting requests for ongoing research.
